Domains

kenari domains are managed from the dashboard: search availability, register, manage DNS, renew, and transfer in, all in one place. Domain payments are deducted from the same prepaid Rupiah balance used by the AI Gateway.

Search and register domains

Open Domains in the dashboard, type the name you want, then choose an extension. The system checks availability immediately and shows the yearly price in Rupiah.

Click Register to process the registration. The balance is deducted immediately, and the domain becomes active within a few minutes after registrar propagation completes.

.id extensions and document requirements

The .id extension is available in several second-level forms:

For extensions that require documents (for example .co.id, .or.id, .ac.id, .sch.id, and .ponpes.id), upload the requested files during registration. Verification is handled by PANDI (Pengelola Nama Domain Internet Indonesia) and usually takes several business days. The domain is not active until verification is complete.

Note Uploaded documents must be clear and readable. Blurry or incomplete files will make verification fail and need to be repeated.

Manage DNS

After the domain is active, open the DNS tab on the domain detail page to manage records. The editor supports common record types:

Click Add record, choose the type, fill in the name, value, and TTL, then save. DNS changes usually apply quickly on kenari nameservers. Propagation across the internet usually takes longer, depending on the previous TTL.

Tip Use a low TTL (for example 300 seconds) when you plan to move servers. Raise it again to 3600 or more after migration is complete so resolvers can cache records longer.

Renew and auto-renew

Domains that are not renewed before the expiration date enter a grace period, then are deleted and can be registered again by anyone. The grace period length differs by extension. Enable auto-renew so the balance is deducted automatically each year.

If the balance is not enough when auto-renewal is due, the domain is not renewed and you will receive a notification. Make sure the balance is enough, or renew manually from the dashboard before the expiration date.

Manual renewal can be done any time from the domain detail page. The renewal price is shown in the dashboard when you renew, and can differ from the initial registration price.

Transfer domains in

To move a domain from another registrar to kenari:

1. Unlock the domain at the old registrar (usually called “Registrar Lock” or “Transfer Lock”). Some extensions have a lock period after the latest registration or renewal, based on each extension registry policy (for example gTLDs such as .com are generally locked for 60 days under ICANN rules). Make sure the domain is not in a lock period.
2. Request the auth code (EPP/authorization code) from the old registrar.
3. In the kenari dashboard, open Domains, choose Transfer in, then enter the domain name and auth code.
4. kenari sends a confirmation email to the domain contact address. Click the confirmation link in that email.
5. Transfers usually finish within several business days after confirmation. The remaining active period carries over, plus one renewal year.

Note The transfer fee is the same as a one-year renewal fee. The balance is deducted when the transfer is confirmed, not when it finishes.
